An overview of dust collection systems for commercial, construction, office spaces, and the homes we live in all have the same goal in mind. To clean, purify or re-oxygenate the air we breathe on a daily basis is a task some of the greatest minds of our time have found solutions to.
Portable dust collection units are utilized in commercial and small workshop settings. A small workshop may use a portable dust collector when operating a saw, or grinding machine to vacuum dust generated by the tools when operating. A more common dust collector is the shop-vac it can remove airborne dust when operating or residual dust left on equipment or floors. For a larger commercial use, a portable dust collector can be used while cutting, sawing, or grinding wood metals or plastics. Removing the particles while operating the equipment will help eliminate air and breathing problems. There are 2 and 3- stage vacuum units that have chambers for the larger particles so they will not be pulled through the vacuum motor system. There are also tables that you can cut on that have the vacuum built right into the tables so when the worker cuts or saws the dust is drawn into the vents of the table.
Cyclone dust collectors are commercial dust collection systems that pull dust and particles out of the air and workspace. The chamber that the dust, particles and material is drawn into is a vortex type of chamber. The spinning in the vortex slows the air down, the larger material and particles drop to the holding chamber, and the air is either excreted outdoors or through a purification unit or released back into the work area. There are also units that can handle hot materials for removal such as when wielding, or grinding.
There are a few of dust collection systems for home, work or office spaces. One of the air filtration systems is the Hepa air system. This is an effective system but when teamed up with other systems you can clean your air of pollutants, pollen dust, germs, viruses, odors, mold and mildew. This system can be run through your existing air conditioning and heating system using the existing duct work. In a larger operation, you may have an independent air filtration system that pumps make-up air into the work place.
As we overview the various dust collection systems you will notice that the goal is to clean and remove potential contaminates from the air in the workplace or home to keep people healthy thinking clear, and productive. The challenges of filtering air are met with various machines and devices that will help with your solution.
